Refund Policy
Pinglide · Version 1.3 · Effective 5 November 2026
This Refund Policy is part of the agreement between Marius Zakarauskas ("we", "us", "our") and the business that uses Pinglide ("you"). It sets out when money paid for a paid Plan is returned, and when it is not. Words with capitals have the meaning given in our Terms of Service ("Terms"). If this policy and the Terms disagree, the Terms prevail.
Key points — read these first
- The Free Plan is the trial. It has no time limit, so you can build a map and test it on your own website before you pay anything. There is no paid trial and no money-back guarantee. (§2)
- Payments are final. Fees are earned when they are charged and are not refunded, in whole or in part — including unused time, the rest of an annual plan, renewals you forgot to cancel, upgrades, downgrades and discounted purchases. (§3)
- Refunds are given only in the cases listed in §4: the ones the Terms already promise, billing errors, a long failure of the Service that is our fault, and where the law requires one.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current one. Your paid Plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. (§10)
- Contact us before you dispute a charge with your bank. An unfounded chargeback, or one filed without contacting us first, can suspend your Account, and you must repay what it costs us. (§9)
- The Merchant of Record processes every payment and refund, and its own buyer terms apply as well. (§8)
1. Scope
1.1 This policy applies to every payment for a paid Plan, whether monthly or yearly, and to any other amount you pay for the Service. Paid Plans are sold to you by the Merchant of Record, Link, LLC (formerly Lemon Squeezy LLC), trading as Lemon Squeezy, on our behalf (Terms §6.1).
1.2 The Service is offered to businesses only (Terms §3.2). This policy is written for business customers, and is part of the Agreement.
1.3 Nothing in this policy excludes or limits a right that the law does not allow to be excluded or limited. If, despite Terms §3.2, you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer law that applies to you prevails over anything here.
2. Try before you pay
2.1 The Free Plan is available without a time limit and without a payment card. It lets you create a map, import locations, design it, publish it and place it on your own website, within the Free Plan's limits.
2.2 It exists so that you can confirm, before you buy, that the Service works with your website, your platform, your theme, your plugins and your data, and that it does what you need. You agree that you have had that opportunity, and that a paid Plan is bought on that basis.
2.3 We do not offer paid trials, introductory refund periods or a money-back guarantee.
3. All payments are final
3.1 Fees are paid in advance and are earned in full on the first day of the billing period they cover. Except as set out in §4, no fee is refundable, in whole or in part, and no credit is given in place of one. This applies in particular to:
- (a) Unused time. Any part of a billing period, including the rest of a period after you cancel, downgrade, stop using the Service or delete your Account.
- (b) Annual plans. A yearly Plan is a commitment for twelve months, paid in advance at a discount. Cancelling it stops the next renewal only. The fee for the months that remain is kept as an early-termination charge (Terms §13.6).
- (c) Renewals. A Plan renews automatically until you cancel it (Terms §6.3), and a renewal charge is not refunded because you forgot to cancel, did not read a reminder, or no longer need the Plan. Keeping track of your subscription and cancelling it in time is your responsibility. Any reminder we send is a courtesy, not an obligation.
- (d) Upgrades and billing-period changes. The amount charged for moving to a higher Plan, or from monthly to yearly billing, including any prorated amount.
- (e) Downgrades. Moving to a lower Plan, from yearly to monthly billing, or to the Free Plan takes effect at your next renewal. You keep the Plan you paid for until then, and no refund or credit is given for the difference.
- (f) Discounted purchases. Purchases made with a discount code, a promotion or a special price.
- (g) Allowances. Unused address lookups, maps, locations, shapes, routes or measured visitor sessions. Allowances have no cash value, do not roll over to the next period, and are not refundable.
- (h) Your circumstances. Not using the Service; not publishing a map; your website, theme, platform, plugins or hosting not working with the Service; not liking how a map looks or works; a change in your business, your plans or your budget; or moving to another provider.
- (i) Accuracy. Geocoding results, pin positions, routes, distances, travel times or basemap details being inaccurate, incomplete or out of date (Terms §10.3 to §10.7).
- (j) Interruptions. Planned maintenance, interruptions that are not our fault, outages or changes of third-party providers, and force majeure, subject to Terms §20.2 (Terms §4.4, §10.2, §20).
- (k) Suspension and termination for cause. Suspension under Terms §12.2, and termination under Terms §12.4.
- (l) Deleting your Account. Closing or deleting your Account yourself (Terms §12.1).
- (m) Changes in the Free Plan or in features you were not paying for (Terms §4.3).
- (n) Charges outside our control. Currency conversion, exchange-rate differences, and fees charged by your bank or card issuer.
4. When a refund is given
A refund is given only in the following cases. The list is closed.
4.1 Where the Terms promise one. For the fees paid for any period after the date concerned, when:
- (a) a change materially reduces a feature of your paid Plan and you end your subscription before it takes effect (Terms §4.2);
- (b) we end the Agreement for convenience (Terms §12.3);
- (c) a force majeure event lasts more than 60 days and either of us ends the affected Plan (Terms §20.2); or
- (d) you end the Agreement before a change to the Terms that works against you takes effect (Terms §21.3).
4.2 Billing errors. We refund an amount charged by mistake: a duplicate charge for the same period; a charge taken after a cancellation that we had confirmed took effect before it; or a charge for a different Plan or billing period from the one you chose.
4.3 Failure that is our fault. If the paid features of your Plan are unavailable to you, through our fault, for more than 7 consecutive days after you have told us about it in writing at support@pinglide.com, we refund the part of the fee that covers the days from your notice until they were restored — or, at our choice, give you a credit of the same value towards your next payment. This does not apply to anything listed in §3.1(h) to (n), or to an interruption caused by you, your website or your Account.
4.4 Where the law requires one, including under §1.3.
5. Goodwill
5.1 Outside §4 we may, at our sole discretion and case by case, give a refund or a credit as a goodwill gesture. We may give it in part, as a credit rather than money, or on condition that your paid Plan ends at the same time.
5.2 A goodwill refund given once, to you or to anybody else, does not oblige us to give another, and does not change this policy.
5.3 We refuse goodwill where we see signs of abuse, such as repeated requests, several Accounts, or use beyond what the Plan is reasonably meant for — for example, bulk imports or lookups made shortly before a request.
6. How a refund is made
6.1 Refunds are paid through the Merchant of Record, to the payment method used for the original payment, and in the currency it was made in. We do not pay refunds in cash, to another account or as a transfer to a third party.
6.2 A refund is never more than the amount actually paid for the period concerned, after any discount, and excludes any amount the Merchant of Record has already refunded.
6.3 A refund for a billing period ends the paid Plan for that period. Your Account then moves to the Plan you have paid for, or to the Free Plan, and Terms §6.7 applies to content above that Plan's limits.
6.4 Once the Merchant of Record has issued a refund, how long it takes to reach you depends on your bank or card issuer.
7. How to ask for a refund
7.1 Write to support@pinglide.com from the email address on your Account, giving the invoice concerned, the amount, and the reason under §4. We answer within 14 days.
7.2 Please tell us about a billing error within 60 days after the charge, so that we can investigate it while the records are fresh and before it is repeated. If you tell us later, we are not liable for any loss that earlier notice would have avoided. This does not shorten any statutory limitation period.
7.3 We may ask for information that we reasonably need to check a request, and decide it once we receive it.
8. The Merchant of Record
8.1 Every payment and refund is processed by the Merchant of Record. Its terms for buyers (https://www.lemonsqueezy.com/buyer-terms) apply to the purchase as well as this policy.
8.2 The Merchant of Record may decide to issue a refund itself, under its own terms — for example to prevent a chargeback. We do not control that decision. If it refunds a payment, §6.3 applies to the period that payment covered.
8.3 Refunds of sales tax or VAT — for example, if you add a VAT number after you buy — are handled by the Merchant of Record under its own terms and time limits, not by us.
9. Chargebacks
9.1 If you believe a charge is wrong, you agree to contact us first under §7 and to give us a reasonable chance to put it right before you ask your bank or card issuer to reverse it (a "chargeback").
9.2 If you file a chargeback without contacting us first, or a chargeback that is not justified under this policy:
- (a) we may immediately suspend your Account or move it to the Free Plan (Terms §6.6, §12.2(b)), and keep it there until the matter is resolved;
- (b) you must pay us our actual loss: the dispute fee charged to us by the Merchant of Record or the payment provider, any amount reversed for a period in which the Service was provided to you, and reasonable costs of recovering those amounts; and
- (c) we may refuse future purchases from you.
9.3 §9.2 does not apply to a chargeback that succeeds because of a billing error under §4.2 that we did not correct within 14 days after you told us about it.
10. Cancelling
10.1 You can cancel a paid Plan at any time in Settings → Billing → Cancel plan, or through the Merchant of Record. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your paid Plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, and your Account then moves to the Free Plan. Nothing is deleted when that happens.
10.2 Cancelling is not a request for a refund, and does not lead to one (§3.1(a)).
11. Changes to this policy
We change this policy in the same way, and with the same notice, as the Terms (Terms §21). A change that works against you is announced at least 30 days before it takes effect, and applies to payments made after that date. The version in force is always at https://pinglide.com/refunds.
